SLIP RING CONCEPTS AND APPLICATIONS

M-TEK was founded in 1980 and specialises in the design, development and manufacture of precision electro mechanical components and subsystems including slip rings.
|
A large variety of slip ring assemblies are produced for typical applications such as periscopes, missiles, aerial observation platforms, sights, fire control positioners, optronic and radar positioners. The slip rings are also used in laboratory and industrial equipment, cranes, manufacturing robots, etc. The slip rings are designed to handle ac and dc power, heaters, strain gauges, control signals, digital data, analogue data and video signals, to name a few.
In order to achieve the lowest possible electrical noise levels, gold is used in ring and brush construction.

The photographs illustrates the implementation of a typical large M-TEK slip ring assembly into a M-TEK naval positioning system. The slip ring includes high current, high voltage, data, coaxial and intermediate frequency circuits. Also included is a dual wave guide assembly.
