M-TEK (PTY) LTD (M-TEK) has acquainted itself with the requirements stated in South African Policy, Legislation and Regulations pertaining to the RSA Control of Conventional Arms, the RSA Non- Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, the RSA Control of Foreign Military Assistance, as well as the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the latter having Extra-Territorial Powers and therefore applicable to RSA Companies.
M-TEK understands the necessity therefore, it having been imposed:
M-TEK understands the penalties and repercussions the non-compliance thereof would have on the current and future business of the company and the negative effect it would have on the international position of the South African Government and the as a responsible Arms Trader.
M-TEK therefore pledges its full Commitment-to-Compliance to the Policy, Legislation, Regulations and Processes of both the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC) and the Non- Proliferation Council (NPC) for Weapons of Mass Destruction as adopted in the M-TEK Internal Compliance Programme (ICP).
M-TEK will ensure that its Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and Customers will similarly be compliant to National Legislation, where applicable.
M-TEK has appointed Ms Karlien Erasmus as Arms Compliance Officer and Mr Lorris Duncker as Arms Control Consultant, to take overall compliance responsibility and to supervise adherence to this Internal Compliance Programme (ICP), giving full effect to the implementation of such controls.
M-TEK maintains an Open-Door-Policy to the South African Authorities to demonstrate its Commitment-to-Compliance within a Spirit-of-Transparency.
